Good Morning

Sunrise--
A confection spun
from clouds and sun
in cotton candy hues;

A lustrous treat
served up to eat
in a sky of brightening blues.

Take a bite
of candied light
before it fades away,

And as the sun
melts on your tongue,
taste dawn turn into day.

  1. Beautiful Poem Diane!

    My mother and I have both written poetry, as well as our friend Mary B. I was only allowed to read some of hers after many glasses of wine.

    Can't remember the last time I read any of mine-
