Scenes of Summer

Wow, what a summer I had! Ordinary moments shared with extraordinary people made it very special.

Wanda Hanson of Exuberant Color surprised me with this remarkable gift -- one of her signature batik colorwash quilts. Read more about it here

It hangs nearby where I can enjoy the colors of summer all year long.

There were lots of visits from friends. How is it we never seem to run out of things to talk about?

I said "so-long" to yet another dear friend who retired and moved out of the area. Linda has been my confidant and helpmate for many years, and I'm not sure how I'll cope without her.

Many friends shared the bounty of their gardens and kitchens -- fresh picked tomatoes and basil, delicious peach cobbler, and the best blueberry pie I've ever tasted!

Local troubadour, Bill Glaysher, entertained me with song one fine afternoon.

Which enabling friend helped me make this fabric purchase? I'm dreaming of all the patchwork possibilities!

When was the last time you were read to? Ask a friend. It's bliss! Gwen Marston’s The Magic Forest

I can't thank my friends enough for their kindness and generosity. They've almost got me convinced I'm worthy of such love and attention!
